Y6 Fairground Rides

Year 6 had an exciting and very busy DT week as we put our scientific knowledge of electric circuits into action. We designed and built working fairground ride models, linking our learning from science with design and technology.

Everyone successfully created a fairground ride that included a motor, pulley and switch, and it was fantastic to see all of the models working by the end of the week. Along the way, pupils learned new practical skills, worked carefully with equipment and showed great perseverance when things didn’t work first time.

There was lots of problem solving, teamwork and creativity, as well as plenty of fun! The finished fairgrounds looked brilliant and we are very proud of the effort Year 6 put into their designs.
