Bridges!

Class: Reception Year: 2025 - 2026

During our DT topic this half term, Reception have been busy building bridges. At first, we received a letter from the goats in the story 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. They asked us to help build them a new bridge because theirs had broken! We got to work straight away, investigating the different materials we could use and discussing what would work best. We then loved learning about all different types of bridges from around the world and finding out how they were made. With this new knowledge, we then got to work in our teams and created our own designs. Then we built our new bridges together and loved acting out the story. Finally, we evaluated the bridges in our groups.
