About Us
Welcome to Eccleston St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School - a happy, friendly, welcoming and nurturing Christian environment at the heart of the local community.
At St. Mary’s we value every child as a unique individual and we encourage them to aspire to achieve their very best in everything they do. We value high academic achievement but we also give children every opportunity to develop other talents, whether those talents are sporting, creative or dramatic.
We also believe in the importance of developing well-rounded individuals and we feel that a child’s social and emotional development is just as important as their academic achievements. We encourage children to have confidence in themselves and our school motto – ‘Believe and Achieve’ – encapsulates the idea that through belief in God and in yourself, all things are possible.
Our Mission Statement, ‘Through Jesus, we love, learn and grow’ emphasizes this same idea and we help children to understand that with Jesus at the centre, we can live rich, varied and fulfilling lives. We also encourage our pupils to realise their responsibility towards other people, whether within our own school, the wider community or indeed globally.
